I have an empty (ready to stock, fully cycled) 55gal tank, here is the short list of fish I had my heart set on:

4xAngel Fish (4 just sounded like a good number, 2 would be sufficient, but 4 is preffered)

2xGerman Blue Rams

1xBlack Ghost Knife Fish

All types of larger (4"+) Gourami (anywhere from 2-8 fish, all depending on what is suitable later on.)

Does that sound ok? I know the BGK may need a larger tank as it grows, but I hear they are VERY slow growers, and I have a 100+ gal comming my way within the next year or so.

Other Questions:

1) Does that sound overstocked at all? Any incompatibilities? Things of that nature.

2) How about filtration? I have a hanging box filter recommended for 40gal, then I added an intank filter thats for a 20 gal, will this be sufficient?

3) Is it possible to get ANYMORE than that in a 55gal?

All comments, info, and kindness are GREATLY appreciated,

Thanks,

-Logan

Well since no-one ever replied to your post :p , I will, Angels sound great, I haven't kept ghost knifes or rams myself so im not sure about those, Id research more on the rams/knife on google.com

Black ghost knife fish get big. They can get up to 2 feet long in the wild, about 18 " in captivity. You need at least 100 gallons for one of these, unfortunately.

I'd take the black ghost off your list, unless you're willing to triple the size of the tank.
