alright so I've got a 55g right now it has 1- 2" turqouis severum, bunches of .25" kribensis juvies (who the sev doesn't even bat an eye at and so they're all still there not being eaten or bothered) and 3 rasboras, as soon as the kribensis get big enough to sex i'm selling them and keeping a pair but they'll go into my 20g, the rasboras will follow them into the 20g which leaves me with a 55g w/ only 1 turqouise severum, after visiting my LFS I've decided to stay w/ medium sized less aggressive SA cichlids. The plan is 1 Turqouise Severum (already got so HAS to stay in the plan), 1 chocolate cichlid (not sure scientific name but the version that is brownish w/ red fins and red markings), 2 rainbow cichlids. That is all I've got idea wise so far. I was thinking something like smaller pictus such as angelicus pictus or maybe some more cichlids and stick w/ an all cichlid tank (if there's room for anything else that is). comments and suggestions are welcome by all

Thanks alot,
Phillip

This isn't really a reply to your questions, but I just wanted to say that you will certainly love your severum. I luckily came across a pretty big severum at the lfs at a good price and just had to have him. He has such a neat personality. Good luck with yours...I am sure you will enjoy him!

Not that 55 gallons isn't enough for a severum. but the average 55 gallon isn't WIDE enough for a severum to live comfortably. Just my 2 cents.

I was kinda thinking that too to be honest with you (that the tank isn't wide enough) but by the time he gets full grown (I figure a couple years I'll probably have something bigger, as I've gone from 1 tank to 6 tanks in just 11 months, so if in the next 11 months I don't end up w/ something even bigger I'll be suprised. So any opinions on compatiblity?

Thanks for any help,
Phillip
