Ok guys, me again. I will try to refain from saying anything stupid this time!! Need your advice with what to do about the fish in our tank.

We had 6 X -Ray Tetra, 4 Cherry Barbs and 2 Black Ruby Bards. More recently we bought 2 Dwarf Gourami's. At the time of buying our Gouramis, I asked our LFS about a small problem with our Cherrys. 3 are male and 1 female, and the male cherry's were running Clyde (The female) ragged. They suggested getting 2 more cherrys (Female) to even them out and hopefully take the pressure off of 'Clyde'. This is what we done. The trouble is now we have lots of fish, and we need to get a loach/sucker?? The LFS have now advised us that it doesnt matter if we go over our stocking levels that we should get between 20 -25 fish, no matter of their size, which is different advice to another LFS and the majority of books that we have read!!

What is the correct thing to do. What Loach/Sucker should I get??

P.s The problem with the Algae seems to be sorting itself out!!

bristlenose plecs will get to around 5".
my question why do you need a loach, referred to any sucker fish, it sounds like you are simply purchasing one to prevent algae problems, etc.
would it not be better to find out why you were having the algae problems, and make the changes required?

anyway looking at your stocking i would suggest a small group of around 3-4 otocinclus,
(although they usually do better in numbers of around 6)
