Stocking Levels For Micro Fish

After seeing people's replys on Willowtwin's thread about her 90l, I was wondering what stocking level I'd be looking at in my 55l/40cm cube tank.

I'm going to be having Corydoras pygmaeus and dwarf emerald rasboras Microrasbora erythromicron, so how many of each can I safely have?

I'm not used to stocking tiny tanks!

Is that all you're going to have, just the two species? Dozen rasbos and 8-10 cories would go nicely, I reckon.

Yes, all my tanks are (more of less) like that!

I prefer to have larger numbers of one species than lots of 'bits and bobs' of different ones. I think the fish are 'happier' and the tanks look better that way. Certainly have much more visual impact than loads of random stuff anyway

That'a lot more fish than I would have thought; I was going to go with 6 or 8 of each! I guess their bioload must be very small!

i'd agree with 'the lock man' there and i may even up the school to 15 if it was heavily planted.
