I know that everyone asks about stocking levels but I wondered if I had room for a pair of kribensis with the current stocking in my tank (see signature). It's a Juwel 300 (1,000 litre per hour in uilt filter) plus I've got a Fluval 304 too (1,000 litre per hour). I change 50 litres (17%) 2 out of 3 weeks.

According to the 'surface area' rule I don't have enough space but according to practical fishkeeping inch per uk gallon for 6 months then up to 2 inches per gallon after six months I've got plenty.

Thanks for any advice
Andy

I think you could but keep in mind the nitrates which are the real indication of when your tank is fully stocked and when you need a water change.

I stock by the PFK rule although it is ok for fish upto 3" above that and the rule doesnt work so well.

If you have a densley planted tank, they do an excellent job of keeping nitrates down, mine do not register on my test kit.
