So im thinking of restocking my rio 125 im wanting like 2 or 3 bigger fish that obviously wouldn't get massive maybe 1 catfish n 2 mid dwellers or something like this, any suggestions? Want bigger fish something i can watch grow

Pair of bolivian rams
Bristlenose plec
6 cories
Schoal of something

2 African Butterfly Fish (for the surface)
1 Leopard Bushfish or 3 smaller bushfish from the Microctenopoma genus (mainly middle, but will roam)
4 or 5 Banjo Catfish (for the tank floor) or 6+ Upside Down Catfish (roamers)

any ideas people? maybe a single cichlid not rams though something abit bigger and a plec

i like it man il have a look into them thanks

boringgggggg!

Well, you hardly explained what you wanted. You cant have big fish, you have a 125litre tank. Bolivian rams can grow to 5" (male). Maybe be more constructive in your replies and people will try to help you better.

125 litres doesn't really give you much choice when it comes to "bigger fish". I like KkAaNnEe's idea with rams, bristlenose and corys but iv always preferred rasboras over cardinals as Proxo suggested. You could have some kribensis if you wanted a decent size cichlid thats not going to be too big for your tank? I had 2 in my 210 litre but even in that the caused havoc to the other fish. Or dwarf gouramis? Not really many options to choose from. Plenty in the means of smaller shoaling fish :)

A trio of apistogrammas? Don't get too huge but are a bit different.

So im thinking of 1 leopard bushfish and a plec thats it. Would this be okay? Obviously i don't want a plec that gets big so suggestions on that :)

Cheers James

A bristlenose plec stays fairly small.

what about a pair of red juwel cichlids and a bristle nose plec?
