Well i currently have a 75 gallon tank that is a bit over a month into its cycle. The water test for pH at 6.6, ammonia at 0ppm, nitrite at 0ppm, and nitrate at .05ppm. So this is my current plan for the fish list

5x Discus
8x Roseline Barbs
4x Red Rainbows
4x Bosemani Rainbows
8x Male Congo Tetras

So far i have 1 Male Congo Tetra and 1 Female Red Rainbow in the aquarium with nothing but eco-complete. In the coming weeks i will add the driftwood and the lighting. I will have to quarantine each of the school of fish i would be adding. I am paranoid any new stock might have any possible infections that might spread through the entire system. Let me know what you guys think of the stocking list :D

Seems like a few to many fish to me for a tank as small as a 75 gal...

Especially with the roseline barbs. These need tanks of around 5 foot long as a minimum. That would be for a group of around 6 so a group of 12 would need a tank around 6 or 7 feet long ideally.

Also I think they need cooler water whilst discus need warmer water so they wouldn't be compatible if that's the case

Many people say different things when it comes to Roseline Barbs. They would be capable of doing well in temperatures of 80-84 and they are now being tank raised. So the feasibility is there. The tank would be running on an Eheim classic and a Eheim Pro 3 with a UV sterilizer. Water changes will be done twice a week of around 50% since the fishes will be bought at a small size so the bio load is not as large as their adult sizes. As they grow more water changes will be done. They would later be upgraded to a 300 gallon. So i am keeping in mind the requirements for the long run.

Also updated list

On average the temp for redline torpedo barbs should not be any higher than 20 degrees, which is around 68F (can be as low as 15 degrees / around 59F but should be higher) and they will get somewhere around 15cms/6 inches in length.

That will be one hell of a tank. 300 gallons is around 1200 litres.. I'm getting an 800 litre next month for my Ornate bichir and a Lima shovelnose catfish (if I can find another lima for sale as my last one died of unknown causes). If I can't find another Lima then the ornate will have the tank to himself for a while. The tank will be 8ft long x 2ft wide x 2ft high so around 180 UK gallons or 210 US gallons. Your 300 will be huuuge lol

Hope you do get it and good luck :)
