Hi everyone,

I have just set up my new 34 litre (7.5gal) tank.

I would like to move my smaller angel fish into it once cycled from my 75gal (350 litre). I think he needs a bit of spoiling as he has had half his tail chewed off! I'm not sure who did it though. He also hasn't grown at all while the larger one has and doesn't seem quick enough to get much food. At only an inch in size, will it be ok to keep him in such a small tank for a while?

I would also like to put a few platys and maybe a couple of cories and a snail in permenantly, would this be ok?

If I were you I would keep JUST the angelfish, and maybe a couple of corys or ottos in the tank until the angel gets better and grows a bit. After this you can then decide what to do with the tank permanently.

Yeah it might be better to keep the angel on his own for a bit to give him the chance to grow. But adding the cories and the snail to the tank at this time should not be a problem. Once the angel has got bigger, the platys would be great! If you really really wanted to then it wouldn't cause any problems adding them straightaway with the angel too, but the angel would probably have a greater chance of growing more if there weren't any platys. Does this help?
