i was thinking about this already cycled the tank has everything it needs (filter, heater etc.)

1 airstone

4 zebra danios(already have)(very small)
6 black neon tetra(like color)
5 panda cories

5 fake plants
and 3 decorations

is this good or over stocking?

are panda cories small and are they good at cleaning up?

are these compatible?

gravel is substrate

:hi: :band: :ninja:

One thing to watch with corys is the sharpness of the gravel they have very sensitive barbs they use to root for food in the substrate and these could be damaged if the gravel is sharp.

the gravel i have isnt that sharp and i was wondering if i would be able to do this? with this amount of fish :good:

That stocking sounds fine to me, it doesn't sound like too much, and I feel like they would all get along.

Cories will eat stray food that the other fish miss, but then you need to make sure you actually feed them if enough food doesn't sink down to them, not just hope they have enough left to pick up. They won't (or shouldn't) eat any old mushy decayed food. They will not eat algae off of stuff, and they won't eat fish poop or anything. Keeping corydoras are best for if you just like them in general, they are really cute and friendly fish.

I haven't experienced any barbel damage on my cories with the sharp gravel I have, they actually had more damage when I had sand because my betta decided to chomp off their fins and whiskers. All missing limbs and whiskers though grew back though, and betta was removed. You need to keep the water and gravel clean though so infection doesn't get in if they do get a scratch.

Ottos are good if you have algae, but if you don't have algae don't bother with them. Otherwise you have to feed them fresh vegetables. If you don't have algae I would just go with corydoras since they have a similar look and don't need the algae.

I voted for cories because i saw some the other day but was unable to buy due to not having room for any more fish.

what if i switched out the black neon tetras to glowlight tetras will it still be compatible? :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

I'd think so. They act similar and are similar size.
