i currently am cycling a 15 gallon tank and i know that i want cories... the other fish i had in mind are as follows. this is my first tank so i dont want anything too difficult. i also have a filter that is recommended for a 30 gallon so it's definately overfiltered which is good. here's the other fish i would like (not all of the fish, deciding between the following):
- golden blue rams
- dwarf gourami
- kuhli loach
- plecos (pitbull or any other one suggested)
- panda or bronze cories

please give me some stocking suggestions!!!

For a pleco in that tank I would suggest a bristlenose aka bushynose pleco. They stay under 5"' and are great cleaners.
You could certainly add a small shoal of cories to the tank. Cories and a pleco are an incredible cleanup crew so you'd have to make sure if you ahve both that they are all eating well. Rams have a reputation for being a little tricky to take care of. Maybe stay away from them despite their beauty until you have some more experience. Dwarf gourrami's are pretty easy to take care of but they are prone to disease. There are several other gourami's that would do nicely in your tank though. I don't know anything about kuhli's so I cant offer any help with that one.

Just a few suggestions of some fish to consider would be cherry or golden barbs, any livebearer such as (guppies, mollies, platy's), and danio's are another hardy fish good for beginners.

corys, corys every where!!! i just love corys now so ide say get lot of corys!!! lol not to many though.
and i have a dwarf gourami (male) if you want females then u need plenty of hidding places and a planted tank is best. i named my ones Hinakin and Stella Artois, all my fish in my biOrb have name to do with bozze  lol

There are various issues with a few of those fish:

Kuhli loaches hide all the time so you may never see them.
Rams are very sensitive and really need a mature tank, not recommended for a new tank.
Dwarf gouramis often die from internal bacterial infections. I would say that honey or sparkling gouramis are amuch better choice.
Those cories are fine. Just make sure you buy a school of 5+ and have smooth gravel or ideally a sand substrate to avoid damage to barbels.

:good:
