Stocking...again ;p

Hello

Ok last stocking list haha. I'm redoing my 29G and I think I have finally made 2 plausible lists. If anyone has any opinions on which one would work better I'd greatly appreciate it. Also on how to introduce them and how many, I don't want to overload my filter bacteria

2 Apistogramma
2 Apistogramma
2 pearl gourami
2 peacock goby

or

2 keyhole cichlids
2 dwarf flag cichlid or 2-3 apistogramma
2 pearl gourami
2 peacock goby

with either I was thinking about maybe adding 2 killifish or 10 cardinal tetra or rummynose or celestial danio, but I worry about overstocking with that

The first list, mainly because I feel that keyholes do best in 4ft tank. I would also go for 1m 3f Apistogramma of one species and only one gourami as they can get quite aggressive and it's not a large tank.

Introduction wise, I would add dithers (10 cardinals) first, then gobies, Apistos and finally gourami.

I went to the fish store today to see what they had and they had both peacock gobys and a purple spotted goby. The purple spot seems about full grown, almost 3 in. The peacocks however were only 1/2 in ...they were so tiny! Would anyone recommend buying them that small?...my gut tells me its probably not a good idea. The purple spot was really fascinating but researching it I'm finding that it might be predatory? is this correct? I'm trying another store to find a bigger peacock but now I'm interested. I'm worried that if I get the purple spot that it might eat my kulhi and dojo, is this a valid concern? and would it harm any killifish, dither fish, or apistogramma if I get them in the future?

I bought my peacocks at that size, and had then shipped to me. Didn't have any problems. They maxed out at about 3 cm for me.

really? you didn't have problems with them getting sucked into the filter or anything? That's my fear or that something will eat them. Thank you for the replies =)

..I was using sponge filters on that tank. If your flow is not too high and you put a stocking over the inlet, you should not have any problems. As for eating them.. I don't know what size your current stock is, or how their temperament is.
