Stocking A 30L (7 Gal) Tank

hello now i have my new tank lid i have got 5 silvertips and wanted some idears on what i can put with them that are colourful not to big i want more little ones then a few big ones.

Hi, did you cycle your tank before you put those fish in?

yes the tank has cycled i have taken a water sample to my lfs and they have told me it is ok and they are the fish they told me toput in cos they are easy to keep and i dont no what to put in with them that wont attack them

ok, can you explain how you cycled the tank exactly?

I have almost the exact same tank setup 5 silvertips and 2 otos

I would probably keep the 5 silvertips alone for 2 weeks to make sure that the tank's absolutely safe. Silvertips max out at 5cm, so using the 1L/cm rule you can only get 5cm more fish in there without overcrowding. Your best option is to leave it as it is, or maybe add an algae eater of some sort.
If you're desperate, see if you can find some nanorasboras, they tend to be interesting.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Sadly a 30L tank is too small for Silvertip Tetras.
A far better Stocking would be:
Top level= 5 Pygmy Hatchetfish
Middle level= 5 Chilly Rasbora and 2 Sparkling Gourami
Bottom Level= 5 Pygmy Corydora

ok then to cycle the tank i went to a D.I.Y store got a bottle of ammoina whent to my lfs got a filter squeeze and kept the ammoina level at 4ppm for a week then let the ammiona,nitrate,nirite get to 0ppm and the pH to 7.2 (questionale) i was told that was ok.
