Hi all,
So my 5.5 gal is cycled. I got it set up honestly just to raise my 2 baby danios. But as i spent around 100 buks on it already, i wanna keep it running even when the babys are all grown out and in with my other danios in a 20 gal.
Right now i have in:
2 white cloud minnows
2 baby danios (around 6mm)
1 cherry shrimp (his buddy died the next day after i put them in
)
i have a pretty powerful internal filter good for 20 gal. I think i overdid it to be honest but i really wanted the tank to have a nice current and stuff. The flow is adjustable, so i keep it at pretty low with some bubbles coming out.
the minnows love the flow, they spend most of the time battling it in the one section it's pretty powerful lol
buttt, i do know they like to be in groups and i already have a group of danios in my bigger tank, so i don't really have a room for more. plus my halfbeaks tried to eat one when i tested one of the minnows out in the 20 gal.
so, for the future. this is what im thinking.
1 dwarf freshwater puffer
1 halfbeak (out of my 3 in 20 gal, i feel 2 is enough in there, they kinda bikker at each other even though i have plenty of floating plants for them)
or
2 guppies
1,2,3 shrimp
0r
smth like 7 microrasboras
1,2 shrimp
i really like the first option though. i don't think halfbeak and puffer will ever really come in contact with each other as my falfbeaks stay at the very surface and never ever go down even one inch.
what do u guys think??
