i have a 23 gallon UK tank ( i think that is like 25 g us ???? i think )
i would like one fish in there
something bright
big ????
any ideas

Hi angle

Can you give us more details about the tank.

Is it empty at the moment, ie do you still have to buy substrate, rocks etc.

what sort of filter do you have?

Do you have an idea about what type of african cichlid you would like?

You won't see the best out of African's by stocking 1 fish unfortunately, especially Mbuna. IMO you would be better looking at a pair of Rams or Kribs (more info in the NW forum). There are loads of dwarf NW cichlids that are extremely colourful and would suit your tank size. :)

Think I am going to go with ferris on this one. Sorry I dont know enough about african cichlids to offer you any real advice on a solitary fish for a 20g.
