Hi guys,

Looking at my stock lists, can anyone recommend anything in either of my two tanks?

I've just added 3 amano shrimp to my 35L, and 3 more Glowlights to up the group in the main.

Juwel Lido 120Litre / 31.7Gallons - Heated - Fluval 205 External
2x Apisto (Agassi)
2x Pearl Gourami
2x Platy
1x Bulldog Pleco
7x Glowlight Tetra
2x Silver Hatchet
1x Marble Hatchet
6x Amano Shrimp
1x Assassin Snail

I'm pretty sure with the above i'm almost (if not) at my stock limit?

2x Apisto (Agassi) - One more, depending on your ratio. if 2F, add a M, if 1F:1M, add another F.
2x Pearl Gourami - One more again, ideally a female.
2x Platy - One more as well, just to liven things up, ideally a female.
1x Bulldog Pleco
7x Glowlight Tetra
2x Silver Hatchet - Perhaps another 2-3, they do prefer to be in groups, including the marble below.
1x Marble Hatchet
6x Amano Shrimp
1x Assassin Snail

I'm pretty sure with the above i'm almost (if not) at my stock limit?

Got loads more space! Perhaps shift the 2 platies to your 35?

I'm keeping the Apisto's as a single pair, no aggression is shown yet (the female is very shy though), and the breeder told me in smaller aquariums a single pair should be fine.

With the Gourami, I do notice the male chases what I think is the smaller female occasionaly.. perhaps an extra would solve this.

I had the seperate platy with the other two and had major problems with aggression so put him in the 35L. So i'd like to keep just the two male Platy's as they get on well

I will be upping the hatches when the LFS gets more in stock, was thinking of two more marbles and 1 more silver, they tend to hang about together anyway.

Would I be ok to add another 6-7 tetras of another variety, would they shoul together or seperately, and if so.. would I overstock?

Any other stocking ideas appreciated peeps

I wouldnt recommend adding another Gouramis, instead, Id recommend removing one. Then up the Hatchets to around 6.

What about my 35L stocking options? Could I mix other shrimp in their with the amano's?

I would be worried about adding any small mid dwellers to the tank incase the platy attacks them.

If so, that's made my mind up I think!

I would have one less bulldog pleco, i've decided to just keep the one, as this one killed my other one

Are the 6 corys also pygmy for my 120?

Also, if i didn't add another apisto, could I add something else?

Ive never hear of bulldog plecs being aggressive but fair enough. I ont see why not. The pygmys only get to about 1" with the males about 2cm so they dont make much waste. Its up to you on the corys for the 120L you could go for 6 bigger corys or 10 pygmys but i think with the gouramis the bigger ones might be a better option. You might evan get away with 8 since your only going for 1 plec. I would go for banda corys as there one of the smaller type but still get to a big enough size not to be picked on.

Will definitely go for 6 corys, I like the look of catfish but I also like the sound of lots of activity in smaller groups My apisto's are my main two fish. (Well, will be when they grow bigger!) as well as my gouramis

The pleco surprised me, but I know it was definitely him, it was the same day I made the change to sand, and I saw him attached to the side of the other guy, got him off but it was too late, he was fatally wounded.

I would add atleast 4 corys at a time as they need to be in groups.

Corys are great fish to watch especially the pygmys IMO because they shoal so close together and use all levels of the tank. Though i do really like my banjo catfish.

They will latch onto dieing or dead fish so maybe the other fish was already ill but i can see why you dont want to risk it.

" can do fine but somtimes the males pester the females when breeding so its best to have a few females to each male. Plus that how they breed in the wild the male will guard a big territory with multiple females what will each guard there own eggs.

They might be able to order some in for you if you ask.
