I am inheriting my brothers tank when he moves out. Currently he has a Zebra Danio and a Flame Tetra. The tank is 11/54L Gallons.
I am planning to get a new light and heater for it as although the heater is holding the temperature it isnt too happy. I also would like to get a new filter. I would normally go for the same type of filter and just run both old and new until the new one settles in but I have seen a new type of filter in my local pet store. I think it is called the Stingray Elite or something along those lines. It is different from my current Fluval filter.
Is it still possible to take some old media from the fluval and put it into the stingray filter are should I stick to fluval.
Sorry if this sounds confusing.
Also I am planning to get another 5 Flame tetras, maybe 3 zebra danios and 4 Cory catfish. Will this over stock my tank and is it a good mix.
