Afternoon people!

ive jus bought some moonlights (awesome things from ebay) but the wires look untidy the way i have them set up so i want to run the wires jus above the water line under the rim of the tank.

anybody know what i can use to stick the wires there?

will blue tac work?

or is it toxic if it fell in?

thanx in advance!

Really depends on which ones you bought.. I would email the seller, as i presume they probably sell loads.. that way if all goes wrong you can blame them ;) !

You can buy Glass thermometer/airline holders with suckers (for holding an internal thermometer in place).

A few of those might do

Thats right....you can get small sucker caps to hold airline but Im assuming the wires are thinner than airline so they might not work, someone on the forum had a picture of their tank with the lights (Roddy something I think he was called) they were really cool but all of his were pointing down into the tank.
Id be interested to see you tank with them in as Ive considered getting them myself off e-bay (he didnt have the blue ones last time I looked so I was hanging on but to fair I didnt contact him so I might ask him....thanks for reminding me.

Hi. I was also thinking that the airline suction cups might work for that. Also, do you remember the name of the seller for the moon lights? I always have trouble finding them on ebay.

the wires are really thin which is good cos they dont show up badly.

the LEDs really need postitioning perfectly tho in my tank cos its quite big and the 3 spots arent enough (im buying 2 more for £6.00)

they dont show up with my camera which is annoying.

ill post the link to the ones i bought.

EDIT

here they are

£14.95

good deal. The LEDs are reeeaally bright and are adjustable if ya fish dont like it altho mine do fine with them on full.

which what i use?

I was asking which moonlights you bought.. some have been designed to be submersed into water, and some have been designed to be condensation proof and are attached in the hood.
Interested in them myself too ;)

This was the tank that the guy had in his sig.....I saved it because I sent it to my wife at work to show her what I wanted (hope he doesnt mind)

I repeat....this is not my tank.....although I wish it was, its cool!

thats why i want more spots.

cant create that effect with 3 in a medium - large tank.

only £3.00 a pop tho so im not complaining.

Hopefully you will come across the guy who this tank belongs to, its in his signature, ask him because it was him that put me onto the person and since my pangasius is nocturnal this kind of look would be great for viewing.

....the owner of that tank is called Rodders.....I knew it was something like that.
