Stats=bad!

I just checked my stats for my fry tank,
ammonia=0 ppm
nitrite= 1 ppm
nitrate= 160 ppm!
how the heck did it get that HIGH
I clean the tank almost once daily, a 40-50% water change, how can I fix this before the fry die??
Please Help!!

I doubt the nitrate will harm them, but the nitrite is very bad.

Just keep up with the water changes, and use something like Seachem Prime when you do.

If the tank has a light over it, add floating plants. Even if you have high nitrates in the tap water, the floating plants will lower them in the tank, and quickly remove any ammonia/nitrite first. The roots are also great cover for fry.
