Hiya ive jus bought a new 180l tank and was wondering if i put one of the sponges from my 90l puffer tank into my new filter and use some water from my 90l tank will this help in the process of cycling my new tank. and will taking a sponge out of my 90l affect that tank. Or i was thinking of jus sqeezing each sponge into new tank to help cycling process cheers Dai.

Hi,

your current tank will be fine with up to 20% of its media removed as new bacteria will grow quite fast to demand once established.
the sponge will be a massive boost to the new tank but the water is pretty much useless :good:
