Starting Pimafix Treatment

okay so i've now removed my cabon from my filter and i am going to start treating, my male krb has a cottony growth on his dorsal fin. i understand that i need to turn my UV steriliser off but why? does it have something that the UV light will kill off.
anywho away we goo.....

second question, is it suposed to make bubbles at the top for a few mins? and then have a few bubbles after?

Pimafix and melafix always make bubbles in my tank, I wouldn't worry about it.

Not sure about the UV though!

well today after 20 hours of treatment the male krib has lost 1 of the two growths on his dorsal fin and seam less agressive, i will continue to treat for the whole 7 days even if the fish look ine tomorow.
and thankyou for all the help, i will ask abou the UV steriliser.
