:/

Sorry but your stocking is all wrong.

The tank is too small for the Rams and eventually one of the females will get bullied to death.

All the other fish really ought to be in larger groups, 3+ for the Otos and 6+ for the others.

Well I am here to learn, so thanks for the heads up. ;)

My Rams have paired off now (5 days since I bought them) and the 2nd female is looking a little lonely/stressed - so I'll return her to the LFS this wknd.

I didn't realise Oto's should be in 3+.

I did know that the Harlequin should be in a bigger group but the LFS didn't have any in when I went - so I bought some different Rasbora.

I do intend to get a few more Cardinal.

I am aware that with too many more fish I will be reaching the stocking limits of my tank.
I do a 30-40% water change, weekly.

Cheers.

Nice tank... :good:
I'd take the harequins back with the fm ram, then get 1 more oto and maybe 1 more each of the other 2 (ras, tetra). Keep up the water changes and check your stats often. I myself think a little overstocking is ok as long as the fish are healthy and not stressed.
I would love to see a full tank shot!

Thanks.
I'll take the 2 Harlequin back then.

Would any shrimp go ok in here?

As for full tank shot -

At the current minute your tank isn't overstocked IMHO, but once your rams start to grow, WHAM it hits you and your overstocked. I'd take the rams back, along with the rasboras, get more ottos and cardinals and maybe get a dwarf gourami or something? It's entirely up to you as at the end of the day, it's your tank!
Edit- If I was you'd i'd get some amano shrimp, they are inexpensive and fairly easy to find, they are also labelled as 'Algae Eating Shrimp', i'd get 13 if I was you, maybe get 6 one week, then 6 the next to see how they cope with your tank? I've read someone where recommends 1 shrimp per 1G. They are interesting creatures, it's a shame I left the lid off my fry tank and they all commited suicide!

That is a very nice tank  . What type of lighting do you have. Also what filter do you have and do you have a Ultraviolet Sterilizer.

Its a Rekord 60 so the filter would be the filter that comes attatched inside and the light would be 18" 15W bulb which isnt enough. Though the filter and light might have been changed.

Lush tank mate.

Why/to acheive what?

I don't know, some people don't like the Juwel filters and change them ,personally I think they're great.
I just didn't want to sound definet that you still had the filter and light.

Sorry mate, I thought you said "need to be changed". My bad. :good:
