Started a fishless cycle on my 54G corner bow and my 125G tanks
Used filter media from my 46G bowfront's Fluval 304
Anyone familiar with a fluval will under stand. I took out the 4 rectagle sponges and cleaned 3 of them into the 125G tank and I took 1 sponge and a bit of floss and cleaned them into the 54G tank.
both tanks looked like Pea Soup you couldn't see more than maybe half an inch into the water if that.
But I gotta say I'm impressed with the Cascade filters.
(125G 2xCascade 1200)
(54G Cascade 700)
I checked on the tanks about 6 hours later and they were both crystal clear. Not just cleared but sparklingly clear water.
When I get home in a little while I'm gonna get to find out if the bacteria coloniazation was sucessful or not.
Now hopefully my Oscar lives long enough to get into his new 125 Gallon home.
