Started Breeding

Hi ive just put my mlae and female in the tank(12.5g + female is in a cut up coke bottle.My friend put his female in with the male today and the male chased and chased her.Is this ok or is it to early for them to be together?The female had breeding stripes and the male made a nice bubblenest but just unsure if this is natural or not.thanks!

Yes the male will chase the female, he has to "beat her unto submission" once shes ready to breed, and the nest is to her satisfaction she'll go under the nest and float fins clamped, tail up, nose down, she's telling the male that shes ready and he can wrap her now. But it can take up to 12 hours or more before this happens.

thanks! .I added my male and he started flaring at the female straight away.But now when i go to have a llok he just swims up by the females chimney and just stars at her not doing anything.The female has breeding stripes though so she is ready already(i think)
