Sponge Filter

If I wanted to use this sponge filter:

What would be the smallest size tank/aquarium size? If I could fit it into a 1.3 gallon or so aquarium tank, would the fish have a problem with it?

What are you trying to do? Do you have a specific tank or fish in mind here or do you just want to use the sponge filter?

i don't see why it couldn't work. you might just want to buy a control valve so the air pump doesn't create too much current

If you are trying to breed some kind of fish I would recommend something larger since that filter says its only good up to 5 gallons. For brine shrimp it would be okay but I doubt it would be all that great for most fish, even fry. It just seems to be really really small.
