Splitting Crypts

Titles says it all really, could someone explain to me how to split crypts? I want to plant some on bogwood

You don't plant crypts on bogwood. You plant them in the substrate. You plant anubias on bogwood. Can I have a picture of the plant you want to split please, just to make sure it is what it is?
