Split Fins

Hi all, noticed today that one of my plecs has got three splits in his dorsal fin will these splits heal and is there anything that i can do to help the process.Thanks in advance Dave

Good water quality can heal split fins.

Fresh water is the biggest help for split fins. It happens on a regular basis with my commons, they heal in a few days.

My water quality is very good and stable. I do 30% water chages twice a week vac the sand at the same time.

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
nitrates 0.5

I's quite common for some fish to get split fins, same as tolak has mentioned they heal on there own.
