splashing water

My mollies have started splashing the water with their tails..is this because I just put a male in with them, they don't appear to have any white spots or trouble swimming, and nothing else is happening or has led me to believe a fungus or ich has invaded my tank..my ph and nitrite and nitrate levels are fine, they are still eating and acting fine other than the tale splashing water.

I've heard of them doing that but can't remember what it meant, just add some salt for now if you have no scaless fish.

Thank you Wilder I did just that, I tried to do some research on them, and nothing mentioned that, it's been a few hours since the salt was added and they haven't done any splashing I am going to keep an eye on them and see what transpires.
