I have a VERY pregnant 24k Gold Molly that (I am not sure of her due date but she looks like a ballon) has started spitting out her food today. Is this a SURE sign of her impending birth? If so I would like to put her in my 5 gal birthing tank . Does anyone know?? First time with Molly fry. (my guppies seem to always eat right before they give birth) Thanks :hyper:

I'm not sure if the eating thing has anything to do with it. However, if she looks very pregnant and she's been this way for atleast 2 weeks, I'd move her in. :) Better early than too late!

it could meen she is ready. :D my guppies stop eating when they r about to give birth

She JUST started spitting out the food? Because fish will sometimes spit out food, then eat it again. They cannot chew the food, so this is their way of making it small enough to eat.

A 5 gallon tank is a decent size, you could probably move her in. Are you keeping her in slightly brackish/brackish?

Yes she is in brakish. I moved her in last night and this morning there were 2 fry in the tank but not alive. I then saw her birthone more and it was alive but only for 10 min before it died. She has not had any since this morning and is still as huge as she was before so is it possible she got stressed from the move and aborted a few but still has most in her tummy still? The babies looked fully developed but lloks like the sac was a lot bigger than any of my guppies ever were... Help!! Need advice please!!!
