Location
land of the scots!
Tank size; 65l Male betta divided tank
water stats: Ammonia- 0ppm
Nitrite- 0ppm
Temperature- 27C
TankMates- Section1- Cameo (new)
Section2- Sparkle
Section3- Oscar
Section4- Spikey (also not well, started a new thread)
Symptoms- Spikey is very bloated, he only comes to the surface for air and is not swimming otherwise. One of his pectoral fins are not being used.

Are scales sticking out.
What do you mormally feed the fish.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.

Epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out.
Feed some shelled peas or frozen daphnia.
With two fish being ill you might as well just add a bacterial med now to the whole tank.

No scales sticking out.
I feed them hikari betta Bio Gold pellets, Spikey eats the most, about 5 in the morning only.
Haven't seen him go to the toilet.
Havent got peas in the freezer, and dont have any live foods, only have bloodworm in pellet form.

I have 4 fish in that tank, all bettas, is it safe enough to add it to the whole tank still?

Dont have epsom salt either,
will non-iodinsed rock salt work?

Just add med to the whole tank.

Improve the fish diet with more frozen foods and veg.
Buy some peas to flush the fish throw.

Only feed peas and no other foods for aday or two.

Fish do flick now and then. Just keep a close eye on him.

Make sure there no signs of darting, erratic swimming, excess mucas, laboured breathing, red pin prick marks, or anything attached to the fish.

Spikey is on his way out.

Oscar and sparkle died over night. I went to 2 fish shops and none of them had Myaxin :(

Bless them.
R.I.P.

If you don't have two filters at each end of the tank, I would maybe think of investing in another filter.

I only have cameo the rescue left, I will defos not be using that tank as a male betta divided tank again. if i do get male bettas again they will be in seperate 3gor so tanks each :) I cant risk another fish dieing :(

Seperated tanks are not ideal. They can cause desease.
To be honest I don't like them either they look like a prison.
Better for them to have there own tanks.
Good Luck.

@Wilder i euthinised Cameo as he started having a growth on his fins.
The tank is being broken down now, and thoroughly cleaned, before going back up next year.:good:

Thanks for the help :)
