Does anyone have a tank with only one species of plant filling up the entire tank? I only have water sprite in my tank, as it seems that's the only thing that survives. I've tried anacharis, cabomba, anubias nana, and hornwort. None have lasted for over two weeks. I only have .5wpg btw :D

I think most of us planted tank people have collectionitis. My tank has only been up and running less than a week and it has... 12 different plant species in it. :*)

Java moss or another moss species can look very effective as sole occupant. It is one of the few plants that will do ok in your low light too.

A large dominating piece of bogwood covered in moss looks very natural.
