Specially Designed Betta Food

None of my LFS stock betta food and so far I have been feeding Jack on live food twice a week, peas once a week and various other veg with the occasional prawn. The staple food for the tank is Tetra PRO energy crisp tropical food and ocean nutrition shrimp wafers which everything seems to eat given half a chance.

Is not all the stuff we buy our fish based on marketing gimmicks?

I know Atisons Betta pro was developed by a prolific Betta breeder, and is a well used product. I would presume that "fish specific food" is made up of stuff more applicable to their natural food sources, albeit with other stuff mixed in.

So true especially with goldfish bowls. Makes sense bronze so I don't need to add it to my bettas diet seeing as its fed a general range anyway?

I'd say that if your betta is fit and healthy then carry on with what you're doing
