I've adopted two new male betta! One is all red and he's a darling, and other is blue with some red streaks(he seem to flare alot). I have yet given them name since I'm still getting to know them. Beautiful babies. So I've rescued not one, but two! I promise to give them a loving home they deserve!

I love it when I hear people have adopted bettas. Such amazing fish, with so much personality.

Actually I did went to Walmart with intention of saving two bettas, but when I got there, there wasn't any! As it turns out, they were sold out! That idea pleased me. So I went to Petco since it was near by and bought two there. So many choices so it was hard to decide. I'm happy with what I have.

I rescued mine (Dexter) from Petco a few days ago. I know what you mean... I spent a half hour there looking at the 40+ betta "pee-sample" cups they had trying to find a alert one that had nice colors. I saw a few, but Dex seemed to grow on me the most. I will eventually go back and rescue another one (or two or three)

Carry on rescuing - but just make sure that you keep them in separate tanks!!! You can't keep 2 males in the same tank coz they'll start fighting.

Don't I know it! I guess I just have to have a bunch of tanks.

Once I had seen a guy picked out a betta and I ask him if it was his first one and he said "Yeah" then I ask"is that all you going to get?" I can't believe I said that. I guess I want him to buy more. "Please save them all!'
