HI,

I am going to spawn my bettas during december, this is the plan:

10 Gal Tank

2-4 Silk Plants at the side..
Big Livebearer Trap
Styrofoam Ring in the center

IS this ok?

(not sure did i left anything out)

What is the big livebearer trap for? Introducing the female to the male? Other than that you'll need a heater and umm -thinks- you'll need to have a ready source of food for the fry, and umm, I've never done a spawn, but those are things I've thought of off the top of my head. You could also read the FAQ

grow-out tank?
jars for isolating male juvies?
a source of conditioning food for the Mum and Dad and baby food for the fry.

Id seriously remove the fake plants and get some real ones. Betta fins are so easy to snag and tear on fake plants.

althoguh live plants would be best, it's really only plastic plants. silk plants are fine, they have no sharp edges.

Thats just a set up for the spawning tank..I got ways to store fry and Im from singapore...Tropical climate..Water temperature is constant thru out the yr....

The big livebearer trap is for the female....

Spawning tank ? there's no general rule in spawning tanks as long as you can produce offsprings.

I breed mine in a small platic tub and it works.
