ehhh, it depends on the male. This one has been with me for some time and he's also spawned before. He rushes back over to the fry where I can't get him and he tries to make himself look busy as if he's helping them

That's too funny. He may have done very well, he seemed to like being with the fry but he's an old man and he also looked exhausted, he really needed a break. Now he's back in his 2.5 showing off to his lady neighbor He must feel manly.
