Spawn But No Eggs Or Are They Just So Tiny My Eyes Can't See Em?

wtfff do they look like little black dots when they hatch? Soem little black dot just skimmed around the surface fast, he chased it down and grabbed it o.o

now theres lot of white dots with what looks like tiny tails falling from the nest on down. o.oooo

They look like this:

See the little black pairs of eyes left of the bubbles? You have to look really close ;)
Edit: They can be light or dark, so white dots and black dots can both be them

ahh, so they're hatching after only 24 hours? Hes catching them and spitting em back into the bubble nest.

It sounds like they've hatched, so I guess so. What's your temp? They hatch faster in higher temps, or so I've heard.

Somewhere between 80 and 82. I have a hard time telling where the little red line is on this thing.Hes going insane catching things I can't even see then spitting em back into the nest o.o this isn't gonna be a nice night for him

AWWW theres one floating on the top of the water skimming around its so so cute.. so so tiny.. thats a betta? o.o  :hyper:

Noooo i can't find it anymore.. wth :-(

sweet, theres a few of them darting around on top of the water.

Theres only a few on top right now but I'm wondering when should I remove the dad? I work today 2-10 pm so if I need to do so today I'll probably need to before 2 pm, if he should stay in until friday ok. Just for reference its 235 am where I am right now so I ahve 12 hours to remove him if I must today ><

I'm no expert on Betta spawning but I'd imagine if you haven't fed him, sooner or later they're gonna start looking real tasty. I spawn Gouramies and I don't ever seperate the male and females. They're like a family now and only one of the girls ever tries to eat the eggs. In which case BB goes spare at her. But they do live in a big tank with alot of heavy, thick planting. If you're not going to be there for quite some time and have a suitable new house for either him or the fry to move to then do so. I hope somone with more experience with betta breeding can answer. Like I said, I do gouramies currently, although will hopefully do bettas next year. Good luck.
Hugs,
P.

the dad should be in there with them for about 3 days after they hatch.. dont feed him or it will wet his appetite and make him more likely to eat the babies. so they hatched like 24 hours ago yea.. soo in about 48 hours you need to think about moving him :)
for the tanks you can just use plastic storage boxes (rubbermaid etc.) as said before, they are a really cheap good way to raise any sort of fry :D

I just woke up, I have no idea whats going on inside the tank. The bubble nest is about half its reg size and now theres a million single bubbles on top of the water spread throughout the tank.

I've never seen more than 5 fry at once, right now I can only find 2 of em.

i would remove the male now - my both spawns the pappa ate some of the babies the day they became free swimming. the first spawn the father ate 90% of the fry. the second pappa only ate some.

Remove him tonight even though only like 2-5 have hatched?
What about the bubble nests?
