Sparkling Gourami And Betta ?

does anybody know if its possible to keep sparkling gourami's with betta's i was going to invest in a pair of betta's and also was thinking of about 3 or 4 sparkling gourami's would they get along or is it not worth taking the risk ?

Well generally a pair of Betta's are a bad idea as males can't be kept together, and neither can a male and female, so it would have to be a pair of females, and generally if it's not one female it should be 6 or more.
I'm no expert on Gourami but if I understand it correctly they are somehow related and won't do well together. But I'm not sure as far as Gourami go...

thanks for the reply, i was going to buy a wild caught male and female pair that were being sold together, so surely they must be okay in a established pair ?
hmm i was thinking what could i keep with them, as i wanted at least 3 species in my tank as i have a school of false harlequin, was looking for the betta pair and maybe something else that would live peacefully with them
