Well i'm back
I've decided not to go and make a planted tank, but rather, a biotope! Wooo!
Now i read an article about how you could set up your tank to recreate the amazon river. It said: Sandy substrate, NO rocks, many fallen braches, few, few plants, only Vall. and Swords.
^
I'd like to recreate that, so i'd just like to know, are Vallisneria (bad spelling) and swords hardy plants? As i said, it's not going to be a planted tank, so no CO2 injectors, dim light, no special substrate. Ya, this sounds like an anti-live plant tank, but i'd like to know if those two plants can survive in such conditions,
Mike
Oh, before i forget, i would like to ask if anyone know how i could set up a thin layer of leaf litter and mud along the surface of the sand, without adding harmful chemicals, and keeping it safe
any website links are welcome
