Hi y'all. I got 3 platys from store about 3 days ago. One male died last night. 
The one of two female's been getting along very well with the 30 gal community tank mates - 3 black skirt tetra, 7 zebra danios, plus 3 serpea tetra and 4 glo fish tetra.
Now the third - assorted black spotted one acting shy and hiding. There was the treatment for ich i used, but forgot to take the filter sponge out. So I blamed that for the loss of a new male platy. I checked my water daily and it's fine. Even when i get the platys, I brought some water out of my tank to fish store to test and made sure the cycling was over.
Today, i used the treatment again and this time i took off the filter sponge for about 5-10 min and it seemed it worked a little. The assorted platy started swimming around instead of hiding behind the plants up in surface. But now i see it's up against the fish tank glass, up and down and a lots of time keeping distance from other fish and up in surface. I'm guessing it may need more oxygen, but the others are fine n dandy.
God, i really hate to let another platy die now. Could someone please help me out here. Is it a stress due to the different fish tank along? Or is it a ich or some kind of disease? What should i do now?
