Sorting Out The Boys And Girls

Babies will be 6 weeks old next week so, in the next few weeks, i'm expecting to start to see the sexes develop. But what are the obvious signs...my guess would be in tank fighting at first.

But will they be ok until i manage to bottle them up bearing in mind i have around 170 babies and once you see one having a ruck, by the time you turn round to grab your net and jar, the fish has disappeared into the crowd.

Any tips on how you start sexing and bottling up would be very welcome

sometimes the males will start to display to each other, (fins stretched out and gills flared) but other times they will live happily together until something disrupts the social pecking order. Then all hell breaks loose and they start ripping into each other.
