Sorry Looking Fish- What To Do?

I have a shoal of Rosy barbs and a little over a week ago I added one more Rosy. I had been slowly increasing there numbers and never had any problems with them before now. The introductions always went fine and all new fish where excepted straight away. Then I added Derek, he was the seventh one, and it almost seems like he hasn't been excepted in. He's aways on his own and doesn't have the same manic behaviour as the others. They never chase him off but it's like he just doesn't try. Physicly he's fine- no marks no ripped fins (he is a long fin varient like one of my others) eating fine, swims fine went he wants too. But he tends to just hang around the plants looking sorry for himself and i hate seeing them like that!

When i first put him in i moved the entire tank around and re-did the whole think including adding another decoration and few more pieces of slate. I kept an Eye on them to be sure he wasn't picked on and he wasn't but he jsut hangs around on his own. Like I said he's been in there a little over a week, I hoped he'd perk up but he hasn't. I've since moved the tank around once mroe int he hopes it might help but it didn't.

Is there anything I can do? is it likly he hasn't been excepted properly or is it somethign else?

The tank is 30X12X15 Inches and all stats are fine (0,0,20-40) Ive never had any problems with this tank before and so far Rosy barbs have prooved the most forgiving and easy going fish- guess they decided it's their turn to kick up a fuss XD

He may just be timid in nature,
if he looks healthy thats really all that matters lol
but he may also feel insecure but im not sure how he could do that seeing as how you have many of them
but im not sure on this one
maybe changing the tank around hasnt let him get settled in at all
this may be a reason for his nature,
give him time, he may come around
