Sooo Today Is The Day I Have To Decide!

Rite today i have to decide whether or not to rehome my female gourami.. if your in and around the gourami sub-forum you will know my female is a pain! (but that is also the reason i love her lol) she rips up plants eats leaves and eats more food than any other fish to the point where shes got a fat belly now lol.
Alas her attitude is now becoming a issue i have to deal with as she is now bullying the male gourami in there... well to death basically.. he is majorly stressed, sits in 1 dark corner and has a few nibbles and tail droop i thought it used to be for courtship but now its just whenever he leaves his dark corner (especially at feed times)
as of today im gettin some little cardinal tetras and on friday im picking up my apistogramma cacatuoides, the questions on my mind are
do i remove her??
do i remove him (male gourami)??
if i keep her will she be agressive towards the tetras and apisos?? as i aint paying £15 a fish for it to be bullied to death

it seems shes fine with my panda corys though.. opinions would be helpful please as im stuck on what to do

Where would you rehome her too as I'm not sure many people would be willing to take her? But to me it sounds like the best thing would be to rehome her so she won't bully that poor male She might be better off with a larger tank but I don't know your tank size to comment tbh!

pets at home take donations on healthy fish and she is beautifully healthy i have a 90litre (23/USG) fluval roma tank... its quite tall tbh.

they prob wont look after her like i do... but she is very hardy and agressive so i hope she can hold her own until some1 nice comes along im sure she wont be there long tbh

My gouramis take it in turns being aggressive towards each other

Firstly the female was the bully towards the male,now its the other way around,then other times they'll be side by side as though they adore each other

I have 2 dwarf Gourami's that are like that, its quite funny to watch, but it never gets nasty thankfully!!!

unfortunatly my male couldnt bully her if he tried she is like a guard dog with her patrols lol... its guna be heart breaking when i re home her

I would rehome the male. Gouramis are normally only bullies with other gouramis and if she is that healthy and lively, just stick with her. Btw, did you have enough hiding spots and territory marks in your setup? This helps somewhat, although you sometimes get the odd overly bullying gourami, especially with dwarfs.

she has been rehomed now... and i didnt want to fish my new fish with 1 agressive fish tbh rather lose 1 healthy lively fish than all the others

Move her, he's doing nothing wrong I feel sorry for fish "couples" when one becomes overly aggressive.
