Just to let you guys know, this is oppositearmor, I am no in-experienced fish keeper. lol. Well, yesterday, late last night, I notice my angelfish with like a red outline on it's body! It kinda looked like blood veins. Other than that, he acts normally. Is there anything wrong with him? I wouldn't want him to die, or cause any of my other fish to die. Thank you.

It could be hemmoragic septicemia, or it could be a normal color change in a stressed angel. Lighter angels, such as golds, koi, or light marbles will at times show a thin line below the dorsal when they are in stressed conditions. This doesn't mean only bad stress, such as water being out of wack or extreme aggression. It could be from figuring out or challenging the pecking order, or from pairing/mating behavior. It usuallt appears as a thin line, like that from a pen.

If it seems to be fanning out towards the fins or in towards the body, it could be septicemia. A pic would help confirm this. If that is the case, oxytetracycline hydrochloride is the best treatment. You can get it online here http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/shopping2.html or here http://www.jehmco.com/PRODUCTS_/WATER_TREA...edications.html

Yes heard of that before about red veining and its septicemia same as tolak has said, you will need to act fast.
Can you isolate the fish as you will need an antibiotic, don't use in the main tank as it will wipe the bacteria colony out.

Hmm... that's bad. My quarantine tank is currently being used right now... this sucks. Can I add stress coat to the tank? Will that help?

I'll try to get a picture asap.

No, septicemia is blood poisoning and it can kill fast that why you have to act fast even them it progresses that fast you don't alway get on top of it and an antibiotic is to late.
