Alrighty, so little less than a week ago, I noticed something on one of my bettas. She had a slight whitish something on her head/back.
I had seen this before in a past betta and it turned out to be nothing, but this time I think it is.
I've been pretty much just watching her to see if it was going to get worse and when it did even the slightest I'd treat the tank for whatever is wrong.

I tryed getting a pic of what is on her, but she didnt want to stay still long enough for me to get a pic.

Right past her head is the tiniest white dot. Looking at it up close it does appear to be fuzzy.
Right after the dot, she appears to have slight whitish stuff on parts of her back. There's a little bit right after the dot, and then another small white dot right before her dorsal fin.

As far as I can tell, she's the only one w/ this on her, another reason why I thought it was nothing, but I still would have to treat the whole tank.. mainly b/c all tanks are being used atm.

I really think it's a fungus. That's what it looks like comparing it to pics I've seen, but it also looks like Columnaris so I'm not sure what I should start medicating the tank with.

Sounds like columnaris, type that into the search on the emergency section and see what wilder's been recommending to treat it, been loads of cases recently!!!

Alrighty... so think it might be columnaris now after looking at more pics.. BLEH..

So which meds should I use.
I have triple sulfa, tetracycline, and maracyn 2 (ran out of 1)... which would be best to use?
I might be able to go out and get some maracyn 1 later today if using maracyn 1&2 would be the best treatment.

either maracyn one and 2 or tetracycline, basically maracyn has tetracycline in it!

Ok...
If I can't get out today to the petstore, I'll start the tank on tetracycline.

I'd just go with that to be honest if you have it!
I've read numerous things saying it's a top drug for columnaris!
Hopefully your betta will be 'better' in no time ;)
Mine's currently on tetracycline for a tiny bacterial lump on one of his dangly front fins....blimmin thing wouldn't go away just on normal meds!

I really hate using tetracycline though b/c it dyes everything.
Last time I used it it created this god-aweful looking multicolored foam up on top of the water that was hellava hard to clean.
I'm gonna try to wait to see if I can get maracyn today, but if I can't, tetracycline it is :p
