hi everyone thank you for reading this post. I have a major problem and i dont know what is causing this!

I have a tank that i once kept guppies and mollies in, but i now keep angels in. But here's the problem. Every fish io bring home (guppies and mollies) would be active in the morning, but all of a sudden die at night. (it would be like a sudden, unexpected death, because they looked so lively!) After about a week. all of the fish in the tank would be gone, so then i'd buy them again, and the same thing would happen!

Now im trying freshwater angelfish and I cleaned out most of water, even though it had good conditions. I even have two filters in the tank. Then i replaced the water and the angels were good for the first three days. This is the fourth day i have had them and already one of them died!! How could this have happened even after i cleaned my tank out?!

Here are my tank conditions (water quality):

pH- 6.8
ammonia- 0 ppm
nitrite- 0 ppm
nitrate- 10 ppm
temperature- 79 degrees Farenheit

What is wrong and what can i do to stop this?

Have you used any chemicals, (bleach, washing up liquid, any sort of cleaning chemical) to clean your tank. Or have you used any chemicals near your tank recently. It sounds really odd that they are all dying. If you have used any chemicals, it may be wise to completely clean your tank out.#

Other than that i am at a loss. Your stats seem fine. You could have a bacterial problem in your tank. Maybe someone else could help. But my first impression would be a contamination of the tank.

i have never used any chemicals in or even near any of my tanks in my whole life lol, so that cant be the problem. I have already cleaned out the entire tank right before i put the angels in, but it still didnt help....

isnt this tank weird lol? I wish i knew what is wrong with it so i can have happy, healthy fish again..

Once again, here are my tank conditions (water quality):

pH- 6.8
ammonia- 0 ppm
nitrite- 0 ppm
nitrate- 10 ppm
temperature- 79 degrees Farenheit

does anyone smoke near the tank? is the tank near the garage/near car fumes? has the house recently been treated for pests? coud anyone be using aerosols near the tank without your knowledge? is there any source of vibrations or temperature fluctuations near the tank?
you might have to survey the area around the tank as well as inside it very thoroughly to get to the bottom of this one......

nobody smokes in my house, and it isnt near car fumes or the garage, we have had the house treated for pests, but this problem has been going on since before then (this problem has been going on for about 1 year or more)

I dont know what could be wrong because all of the other tanks that are near it don't have any problems.

I just took the angels out of the tank because one of them isnt looking too good. and i put them in another spare tank i had in my closet.

I dont know whats going on!! I might have to take the tank down completely and get another one lol.
