A few days ago I lost one of my older(a few years old; 2-3 years old) mosquito fish females whom I have had for a very long time. I thought that it was old age. She was having trouble controlling herself(flipping around everywhere) and was turning yellow. Now her daughter is displaying the same symptoms. She is on her side(swim bladder by the looks, but I don't know) and "flipping" about. What should I do? Although many people do not like mosquito fish because they're aggressive, I love my strain of them because they're fairly peaceful. Now I'm losing them. What medications do I need to use? I've given her Molly Bright(can be used for other things besides the "shimmies"), salt, PimaFix, and MelaFix. Nothing is working. What can I do to try to save her? Please help!

Is the other fish turning yellow, if so does it look bleached out, fluffy or a dusting of yellow.
Any flicking and rubbing or laboured breathing.

She's still alive, but barely. She is turning a yellow shade throughout, and is floating on the top of the water. I have started Life-Guard tablet treatments. She is breathing rapidly, but isn't bleached out, fluffy, and doesn't have velvet(yellow dusting). Her gills also seem to be inflamed.

Bacterial to parasite, check the other fish gills and watch for flicking and rubbing.
R.I.P.
