my female guppy just dropped yesterday. but for some reason she isnt looking all too chipper.

she looks really skinny and it seems as though she is struggling just to swim.
she wont even eat. im really worried.... :-( :-( :-( :-(

is it possible to put her in a tank on her own?
to make sure the males stay away from her for some time...
As to possible medication, someone else will have to help you about that, don't know anything about it, sorry...

hope she gets better...

There aren't any meds that perk fish up. You could try melafix and aquarium salt, though. Keep the fish isolated and keep water changes up. The fish get really stressed out after birth, so keep stress levels down and your fish should be fine.

hmmm all i have to put her in is a 1 gallon tanks but it is un filtered and unheated....

would that be alright, i change the water like 50 percent every day its hould be ohk right?....

maybe you can float her in a small plastic tank? that way it's warm enough and she doesn't get bothered by the males

The handling would stress the fish further.

I'd suggest adding some sort of decoration or plant if you could. Leave the tank lights off for longer periods of time so all of the fish rest and leave the sick female alone.

Do you have a thermometer in the one gallon tank? if so, fill it up and leave it out for a while and then check the temp.

i have a planted tank. my temp is at 80 and the other fish dont really bug her.

as for the 1gal i do have some extra plastic plants i can put in there. but no thermometer

maybe i should just leave her alone for a while. :dunno:

welll..... she is now up in guppy heaven along with my babyblue lyretail male who died today as well...... :rip: :rip:  :( :byebye: :byebye:

this isnt my week, 3 guppy deaths.
