Some Shots From My Discus Tank

well last week I got two discus




and the other who is the bully




and so far progress after a week of adive from members and some loving care here are some new pics



and some others, also purchased 2 red discus which arrived today but still camera shy

thanks for the comments, how many discus do you have in your tank and what size is the tank, i'm going to add another 2 but would like to take the total to 8 which i know as adults will be over stocked, however I do have another two 3 foot tanks i can use if they start pairing off or get too big depending on what happens first

The tank is 2 foot square, they all seem very "clingy" at the minute and shoal quite happily together and there is plenty of room.

Got a feeling the tank will be too small when they get bigger but hoping a few will pair off by that point so can make decisions at this point!

How many gallons is the tank? Seems much too small for Discus by the sounds of it.

yeah can't imagine them being happy when they get older with a 2ft tank to swim in. mine is currently a 3ft but would like a 4ft this year for them

Its wierd, i have a 4 foot tank they used to live in and were reasonably active, due to fry etc ive had to use the 4 foot tank for them.

The discus seem a hell of a lot happier in the 2 foot square tank, they have more depth of water to swim around in, the biggest ones are around 6 inces from top to bottom but seem to have more than enough room!

well think I've just bought 6 baby discus, just hope a few pairs appear to thin the tank out or i'll be setting up a second discus tank once they get larger

Sure they will be fine for now, ive got no probs with mine at the moment, i know they can get BIG but size isnt an issue as of yet lol
