:-( guys, I've come to the decision that I have to sell my aquarium. As much as I would like to keep it, it isn't big enough for my 3 bala sharks and I really can't afford to spend more money restocking the tank (i'm going to university next year.) Do you think that I should sell it through eBay and how much do you think I should ask for it? I'll list the things that will be included with the aquarium.

-1 Miracles 90g glass aquarium
-1 eheim 2217 Filter w/extra media and a new impeller/impellar shaft
-1 fluorescent light fixture (2 48" bulbs)
-1 Reno 300 air pump
-1 new Ebo Jager 250w heater
-1 new digital thermometer
-2 pairs of canopies for the aquarium (1 old and a new Marineland one)
-2 pieces of driftwood (one of which cost me $40)
-75lbs of black gravel substrate
-assorted decorations, medications, fake plants, a water test kit and nets
-1 python no spill fill system w/ 20 foot extension
-6 raptor tetras and 3 bala sharks w/food
-1 magnetic aquarium cleaner
-a stack of aquarium magazines
-1 acrylic aquarium (2 gal or so) with substrate

:byebye: I'm really sorry to have to do this, but I think that it is for the best. Unless otherwise stated, the equipment is a few years old

Why dont you exchange the bala sharks at a fish shop for other fish?

If your looking to sell it, try selling it here on the forum(buy, sell ,swap, Section). I'm sure many ppl here would love a 90g for a reasonable price. ;) . I also aggree with maestro. Keep your tetras and try selling your sharks to a lfs or give them to a lfs for free. Your setup looked like it costed you alot, dont let the sharks ruin it for you. You can still own many medium sized fish and have a great setup.

Actually you're going to want to find people who DON'T know much about fish equipment, then all you have to do is swamp them with all the original prices and how much they're saving. From what you've listed, without a stand, I would say you can get 400-500, add the stand and you can probably get 500-600.

Thanks guys, But I would have to sell it anyway because im going away to university and wouldn't have time for it anyway.

And yes, it does include the stand. So, you think that I should sell my fish back to the LFs and eBay the tank?

Yes definately sell the fish first, most people buy a tank wanting to chose there own fish.

List all the prices of what things cost so people can see what there getting or maybe sell items seperately to get a better overall price

well if the fish are outgrown the tank it wouldnt make much sense to sell them with the tank, mush! :D

Im sorry you have to sell your tank. It musta cost a fortune.

If you do sell it in the ebay, you could sell it for more if you part out. For used equipment, sum of the parts are worth more than the whole.

A 90 gal used here in winnipeg goes from anywhere from 250-400 also aquariums with fish are harder to sell than without fish.
