Awesome! Thanks Mikaila!

I will let you all know how it goes once I get it all up and running!

(I removed the Plec from my tank, so hopefully I will see no more bite marks in plants, lol)

The fish aren't affected affected because the PH is not changing due to a change in levels of carbonates.
Wow, this is a great piece of useful info!

What about the bacteria, are they the same as fish, and are not effected by a lower pH level when Co2 is injected into a tank because the carbonate level is not changing?

Is this why people can have healthy, planed tanks with a pH of as low as 6, or maybe lower, because the Co2 is changing the pH and not the carbonates?

Yes, the bacteria do fine too. All aquatic fish/inverts/plants and bacteria will be fine with changes in PH that are caused by carbonic acid, as long as the carbonate level isn't changing things are fine.

This is a cool bit of info!

Thanks for letting me know that, truck!

pH changes, as long as they are gradual, don't affect fish whether it be bcause of carbonic acid or somethicg else. It is changes in KH as it messes up their osmotic balance which affects fish more

Great! Thanks for that info!

I was a little worried for a while, that the lower pH wold effect my fish.
