Went on a geology fieldtrip, and kindof stayed around for a while (until it got dark) after it was over and everyone else went where ever it is that they go. It was just me, my camera, and a dead crab muse whom I dubbed "Mr. Crabs". Toward the later hours, where the sun was no more than a fist over the horizon, the fog started creeping in and I could scarcely see the seabirds that were 15' in front of me. One could look directly at the sun, it's light being filtered by the atmosphere and the fog vapor. (talk about ambient lighting). Anyway, I found an aquatic plant at a stream, that was interesting, at least to me. When it got dark, I didn't know where the path up the cliff to the parking lot was and I ended up wandering in the dark with soaking wet shoes for about a half-an-hour over tall grass, and when I finally got to my car, my car alarm thing that I sortof use to start my car shorted out cus it got wet so I was stranded there for another 1/2 hour until i remembered I had the same battery for it in an old garage opener I had in the glovebox. so I drove home listening to country music and deep purple, and then it started raining.

they were taken on the central coast. and no, fortunately for the crab, I didn't torment it. I did however walk around with it for a while so that it could see what I could see, what with the increased mobility and height and everything. It must have been a transcendant experience for the crab, although it was dead. Nevertheless, I set it down on a rock to take another picture when a set came in and washed it away. I felt like crying out, "noooo! Wilsoooon!" but then I thought how silly it all was and just kept on walking down the beach.

I found some interesting rocks too:

this one kindof looks like a sculpture

That second rock picture looks like a fossil?
